The River Reeves Foundation Terms and Conditions

 

  1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to The River Reeves Foundation and any persons engaging with The River Reeves Foundation. Potential Applicants should read them carefully before submitting an Application for funding. Submission of an Application indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

  1. Interpretation

The following definitions have been used throughout this document:

Applicant – means a person, satisfying the eligibility criteria for applicants as outlined in the relevant sections on The River Reeves Foundation website, who submits an application for funding.

Application – means an application for funding made on behalf of either the Applicant or another eligible person.

Decisions, determinations and exercises of discretion of, by or on behalf of The River Reeves Foundation and its representatives are final and binding, and The River Reeves Foundation will not be obliged to enter into correspondence relating to outcomes.

The River Reeves Foundation reserves the right to modify or withdraw funding or change the timings of awards at any time without prior notice.

  1. Funding


The River Reeves Foundation provides funds of up to £500 within any given academic year. Applications can be completed via a paper application form (which we will be bringing online shortly). Applications will be reviewed to ensure they fit with the eligibility criteria and if approved, the successful applicant will be notified in writing and the award details will be published on The River Reeves Foundation website.

  1. Eligibility


To be eligible an Applicant must be between 8 and 25 years and resident in the United Kingdom. Applicants may only make one Application at any given time – only one application will be considered. Successful Applicants are not eligible to apply for further funding within the current academic year of their award.

The River Reeves Foundation Trustees will meet regularly to ensure that the criteria for considering Applications are developed as The River Reeves Foundation evolves.

  1. Process

Application submission deadlines are not applicable – The Applicant may submit their application at any time during the academic year.

The Applicant shall withdraw her/his Application if the funds are no longer required or the proposed recipient is no longer eligible for an award.

Applicants have the right to withdraw their Application at any time.

All Applications will be reviewed by the Trustees of The River Reeves Foundation to assess the eligibility of the Application prior to the ranking/selection process. The Applicant will be notified by e-mail whether or not their application has been approved by the selection panel.

Successful Applicants will be notified in writing within four weeks of the Application submission date with details of the award amount.

Unsuccessful applicants will also be notified in writing within four weeks of the Application submission date with details of why their application was not approved.

Ineligible Applications will be rejected and the Applicant will be notified accordingly.

If, for any reason, The River Reeves Foundation is unable to make contact with a successful Applicant within three months of the Application submission date, The River Reeves Foundation reserves the right to re-allocate the funds.
The River Reeves Foundation will request a written quote for any items or services to be purchased before any monies are released. Proof of purchase in the form of receipts, photographs etc. will need to be provided to The River Reeves Foundation Trustees upon request as proof of responsible use of the funds. Purchase evidence must be provided within one month of payment of the award.

If satisfactory proof is not provided, The River Reeves Foundation reserves the right to require that the award is repaid in full. The onus is on the Applicant to provide satisfactory proof that funding has been spent in accordance with the costs specified in the Application.

A cheque or bank transfer payment will be issued to the Applicant for up to £500 in accordance with the amount applied for in the Application.

The River Reeves Foundation is not responsible for the purchase of any goods or services relating to the Application, nor is The River Reeves Foundation liable for any goods or services purchased with awards – although funded by The River Reeves Foundation; purchases are between the product/service provider and the recipient directly.

The River Reeves Foundation is not responsible for any loss/harm/injury/death as a result of misuse of products/services or faulty products/services purchased using the Award.

  1. Success

By submitting an Application the Applicant agrees that under no circumstances will any funding from The River Reeves Foundation be used for illegal activities that could bring The River Reeves Foundation into disrepute.

If the outcome of the Application is successful, it will be the responsibility of the Applicant to ensure the Award is spent in accordance with the information outlined in the Application.

The River Reeves Foundation may wish to use successful applicant’s details and future successes to further promote the aims and ambitions of the River Reeves Foundation. Applicants should select the appropriate box on the Application form to agree to this or not.

The River Reeves Foundation reserves the right to cancel, extend the period of participation or alter in any way deemed suitable the Terms and Conditions of The River Reeves Foundation Award.
